Laser treatment department is one of the most advanced services of our subsidiary providing high-tech methods of eye diseases treatment.
The department is equipped with modern diagnostic devices which are necessary for qualified diagnostic and laser treatment of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye. |

Laser
treatment of the anterioor segment of the eye:
(methods and indications) |
|
YAG laser discisssion is used to treat secondary cataract
(clouding of the support capsule that may follow cataract
surgery), membranes in pupil; dissection of vitreoretinal
and iridocorneal adnations.
YAG laser peripheral iridotomy for primary closed angle
glaucoma, secondary glaucoma; or as a step of surgical
treatment of primary narrow angle glaucoma
YAG laser descemetogoniopuncture is performed to lower
the pressure in the eye after nonpenetrating microsurgical
antiglaucomatous treatment
|
|
New techniques:
YAG laser phacofragmentation is used as a preliminary
step directed on optimizing of energetic parameters
of ultrasound and laser cataract surgery. Transcorneal
endocapsular laser action on the lens nucleus provides
decreasing of total effect of ultrasound and laser treatment
and this makes it possible to lower the risk of developing
postoperative complications
Argon laser peripheral iridoplasty indicated for several
forms of primary and secondary glaucoma combined with
peripheral laser iridotomy or trabeculoplasty
Argon laser peripheral trabeculoplasty as alternative
treatment for early stages of primary open angled glaucoma
Argon laser pfotocoagulation of new blood vessels of
the iris to treat secondary neovascular glaucoma.

Laser surgery
of the posterior segment
(methods and indications) |
|
YAG laser dissection of local tractions and epiretinal
membranes (proliferative retinopathy and post trauma's
pathologies)
YAG-laser retinopuncture is used to treat transsudative
maculopathies and macular haemorrages;
YAG-laser posterior hyaloidotomy for subhyaloid hemorrhages
of varying etiologies (diabetic, traumatic);
Argon laser peripheral prophylactic photocoagulation
of the retina can provide the prophylactic on retinal
detachment in the presence of dystrophic changes (in severe
myopia)
Argon laser delimiting photocoagulation to treat retinal
tears, vitreoretinal forms of peripheral degenerations,
progressing retinoschisis, local retinal detachment.
Argon laser focal and lattice photocoagulation of the
retina to treat macular edema and neovascularisation of
vascular, dystrophic and inflammatory etiologies
Argon laser panretinal photocoagulation is used for
preproliferative diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein
occlusion complications.
