Surgical removal of the cataract is the only way to restore clear vision. The technique of cataract extraction has been always developed. The breakthrough in this field of medecine is the use of ultrasound or laser energy to break the opaque lens. This is done through an incision small enough not to need sutures. Vision rehabilitation period is extremely fast. But expensive surgical machines and the high price of such an operation resulted in lesser use of the procedure in our country.

That is why for lens emulsification at mature stage the surgeon needs more phaco energy and this may lead to postoperative complications. There are two ways to resolve this problem: to remove immature cataracts (but in our country this way is not actual) or to find a method to reduce the energy needed for clouded lens breaking.
